Label comparison

“GLP-1 friendly” label vs the actual numbers

“GLP-1 friendly” is marketing language with no regulatory nutrition standard. This page puts the sourced numbers next to the claim, for every product from the labeled brand currently published in this directory.

What the label does and does not say

No FDA or USDA nutrition standard defines the phrase. In January 2026, the USDA told the Associated Press that it had approved some labels using the wording alongside protein and fiber statements, while confirming that the term itself has no regulatory standard. Approval of a particular label is not a nutrition recommendation. Read the AP reporting.

What the label never tells you is how much protein, fiber or sodium a serving actually contains. Those figures are on the Nutrition Facts panel, and they are what the table below shows. See what the phrase means for the full explainer.

The actual numbers

Every published Vital Pursuit record, per labeled serving. Each figure is the same value shown on that food's own page, transcribed from the linked manufacturer source on the checked date. Nothing is retyped for this page.
Per labeled serving, as printed on each manufacturer's nutrition information.

What the numbers show

Every product above carries the same marketing, yet the figures vary widely inside the labeled line:

  • Protein ranges from 20 g in Vital Pursuit Cauliflower Crust Three Cheese Pizza to 33 g in Vital Pursuit Max Pro Cheese Lovers Pizza per labeled serving.
  • Fiber ranges from 3 g in Vital Pursuit Garlic Herb Grilled Chicken Bowl to 17 g in Vital Pursuit Max Pro Cheese Lovers Pizza per labeled serving.
  • Sodium ranges from 640 mg in Vital Pursuit Garlic Herb Grilled Chicken Bowl to 950 mg in Vital Pursuit Max Pro Chicken & Spinach Garlic Alfredo Bowl per labeled serving.
  • Protein per 100 calories ranges from 5.1 g in Vital Pursuit Southwest Style Beef Taco Bowl to 9.2 g in Vital Pursuit Max Pro Cheese Lovers Pizza.
  • None of the 15 products shown meets the FDA low-sodium threshold of 140 mg sodium per 100 g. See the FDA guidance and our low-sodium frozen-meal list.

The label does not narrow any of these numbers. The Nutrition Facts panel does. These are comparisons inside one product line, not a score, a ranking or a verdict on any product.

How to check any labeled food

Start with the serving size, then compare protein, fiber and sodium per serving against foods you would actually buy. A labeled product can list less protein or more sodium than a similar product without the label; the only way to know is to read the panel.

Browse frozen meals, add foods to the comparison tool, or read the methodology for how figures are recorded and checked. “Not provided” means the source did not supply a value; it does not mean zero.
